I have not found the 3 groove picture yet.
Yes, closer to the edge of the cylinder wall.
Currently the EGT is offline so I do not know what they are. Those numbers are what I remembered. At that time 12ish. On the note of EGTs, with this head, I also changed the valves (see the pic), the exhaust mani to a bigger log style, and the turbo to S70. The cal and fuel pressure stayed the same. I did change my fuel to 87 octane as well. I am not saying this to say see what it can do, but to point other changes where done that will have some effect on things.
Not to mention the head before this (from MPGMike) had a MAX of EGTs of 950F, so these EGTs on this header are higher. Lots of differences in the heads, different exhaust mani and hence probe location, cyroing, etc.
