ok... i have an 87 driveline in my 86 charger... i have an 89 valve cover with a one piece valve cover gasket... will this work on my 87 engine?

I would imagine so..like you said you have the 89 cover..did you order the gasket from MoPar<<your Dodge dealer..? personally I us the MoPar one peice and have never had a leak to date..

All 2.2 and 2.5 valve covers work on all 2.2 and 2.5 cars. Just make sure you buy the one piece rubber gasket for the 89 aluminum valve cover.
