I am so mad right now. This shadow i bought with a messed head was just putting the head on and one of the bolts would not torque to 65 ft lbs and i guess i turned too much trying to get it there that the bolt just snapped. Now this car is garbage because i cant do a motor and i cant pull it out as I need to move at and of month and don't know of il even have a drive way there. How did this happen what did I do. They were brand new MP headbolts. It was one of the end bolts on driver side. It just kept turning and would not hit 65 ft lbs even though all the others did. it didnt even seem to get harder to turn before it broke like it did right before the other bolts hit 65

did you clean out the bolt hole?maybe there was water or oil in the hole. remove the head again take the bolt out and inspect the hole.

as long as you didnt cross thread it or anything bad, you prolly could just back it out w/ some vise grips. hopefully it didnt break flush with the block.

where did the bolt break? near the top or at the thread end. The longer the remaining portion of bolt is still in there the easier it will be to remove. either way pull the head off see what kind of mess you have. Might be worth the the effort to chase the threads with a tap to clean them up so that you don't have another oh s@#t moment.

Double nut the "stud" aka former head bolt, Vise grip, weld a nut to it, whatever.

My advice is dont buy a hyndai!
can that not be infered from my post
The car doesn't need a new motor you merely gotta get yourself an easy out and get that sucker back out!
Go get yourself some new headbolts from the parts store.
I kinda figure your using the originals because you asked where you could get another head bolt!
Q
(theres my advice trouble maker )
