if you have say 2in at least on both sides of the cut, you could try a brass tube between and strong clamps to mend your indescretion

Don't chance a 710 leak, it could cause a fire. Replace it.

Just get the braided steel version from one of our venders. It is better than the original and cheaper.

I doubt you can get one from the stealer anymore. If so, they would be very expensive (as always).

If you got the cash, get the braided steel.
If not, pull one at the junk yard.

I've also seen the home repair (aka. new piece of reinforced rubber hose held in place with worm gears) run for thousands of miles.

I wouldn't waste the time on a junkyard one... Too much fooling around and then who knows what crud is in there. I think you did yourself a favor by cutting that line. Go get a new one from one of our vendors.

And if you have a leak and you have a manual transmission, you can kiss that clutch good bye.

If its a matter of being a cheap TD'er...
If you go on eBay there's a guy in Windsor ON selling braided oil lines for like $24 shipped anywhere in US or CA.

Thats about as reasonable price as you're gonna find.

I fixed one before with a piece of tubing and a compression fitting. I replaced the complete forward hardline and the rubber hose. Never had a leak and looked good too.
