In the MP headbolt set there is an extra set of washers included Why?? I have a few assumptions but I want to know the real reason I'm putting m head on tomorrow.

Well, I've heard several explanations for this. I think Ken said it
was a packaging mistake at Mopar. Someone else said it was to
ensure the bolts didn't 'bottom out' if a head had been milled. Just
to show it is OK to leave the extras out, I'll say I left them out, and my car is still doing fine 2 years later.

No need to use them.. Packaging issue.

I can't see that it matters either way, as long as the bolts don't bottom out and they have been torqued correctly. Any thoughts? I know those washers come in handy when installing a 520/555 in your L body to space the bobble strut out right.

I used the additional washers on my Shadow when the head/turbo was replaced about 30k miles ago. No problems.

Good deal I used the extra washers also since my bolt was decked and my head milled. Bolts actually torqued down better than any I have done before. Just felt better.
