If i buy complete t2 head assembly. Can you just bolt this assembly onto a
t1 car. Im pretty sure you cant but i dont really understand the DDG converting to t2 instructions. (Kinda looking for somebody that i can ask a few questions.

Should i get a new pressure plate assembly if im putting an a-555 trans into an 85 t1.

AND FOR LIKE THE 4TH TIME........ HOW DO I GET MY STICKERS I PAID FOR A SUBSCRIPTION.

And is there anybody on here form the metro detroit michigan area or anywhere close to here in michigan.

the head assembly will bolt right onto the engine, you will have to change the AIS sensor to get it to work right, since they changed that from blow through and pull through throttle body. But it will work, there are plenty of early cars with the newer style intake.

For the pressure plate assembly, you wouldn't technically have to change them, but it would be a good idea, the T2/2.5l T1 clutch was a stronger clutch setup.

For the sticker, contact Rick (the admin) and he should be able to direct you in the proper direction.

First the head .... you have a stock '85 bottom end? ... original pistons? If so, you'll be raising the compression ratio at least a half point or more. The engine will be peppy but don't expect to boost the heck out of it.

Now the Trans ... new clutch/pp is a good idea along with getting your flywheel resurfaced.
Also ---> got the right axles? shifter cables? bobble strut needs to be moved ... your starter won't bolt up either (need to get a later model one).

Alright First whats rick username

I know that you need all of that stuff for that trans but tyvm for saying that because now i know for sure what i need. I have some type of booble strut the guy gave me he had a shelby lancer and i have a regular lancer es turbo. So how exactly do you have to move the bobble strut?

But the ddg guide for turbo 2 talks about all of these things you have to change are they all unnessecery changes?

his user name is just that, RICK, lol.

For the bobble strut. If you have an auto car going to manual, you will need to get a mounting bracket for the bobble strut to put on the K-frame, since the auto cars did not have the strut. But if you have an A525 in the car, I would think that it would be a close mount, just cut the one that is on the frame and weld it to the right spot.

For the wiring, read through this thread in the FAQ Section:
How to convert 85/86/87-T1 to 87-T2 wiring. (needs clean up)

I have never had to swap T1 to T2, so I do not know what is necessary and what is not, but I hope that thread helps.
