I have a T1 2.2 and I am about to do my first oil change on it.

I use moble 1 5- 20 in my other car but it's don't have a turbo and it says 5-20 on the oil fill cap.

So what do you use?

old motor I'd go M1 15w50 or 10w30. I run M1 5w30 in my rebuilt motors.

Yeah, but that stuff is liquid gold. It's like Amzoil, you can go 6K or more on a change and not worry.

Good point. If you can afford it, Amzoil is the way to go. Nothing wrong with Mobil 1 and the like, but Amzoil is top notch.

Royal Purple 10-30 FTW. The only oil that has actually hushed the lifters in my 3 liter. That and a K & N filter, I never have any doubts at high rpms either.

Chrysler recommendations.
5w-30 for temperatures from -20 deg to 32 deg (-29 to 0 Celsius)
10w-30 for temperatures from 0 deg - 100 deg (-18 to 38 Celsius)
I have been using 5w-30 Mobil 1 all year round for 18 years with no problems and that includes hitting the traps at 6200 RPM's.
I use the lighter weight oil because I want oil getting to the turbo quickly on start up.
Any "full" synthetic will be better than a conventional petroleum based oil.

Mobil 1 in all the vehicles. Walmart has the cheapest prices in my area. 10W-30 for your application.
