haynes or chiltons manual

i need to get a good repair manual to get this daytona put back together. Is there a difference between the haynes and chiltons manual one better then the other? I know its kind of a stupid ? but i dont want to end up with a crap manual thanks.

Niether one of those over the counter manuals will supply all the info you need, they are generalized books without a lot of detail.
If you do not have access to Alldata or Mitchell On Demand then you need to find the Factory Service Manuals. (eBay?)
+1 on the above post, all the info you need is available from your fellow TD'ers.
Next post please supply engine, trans. etc

I agree with NAJ,but to answer your question ,I believe the Chiltons to be the better of the two,it's really a pretty good manual.I have FSMs for most of my cars ,but I still use the Chiltons an occasion.The Haynes aren't very good although they will help in a pinch for general repairs.I bought a Haynes the other day to help R&R a 4.0 V6 in an Explorer. I knew nothing about it and it got us through a very tough exchange.Hopefully never again!! What a POS

Both the Haynes and Chilton manuals suck...dont waste your money. You get better detail and more pictures by searching online
