I would like to swap another engine in my rampage. I have a carb and 5 speed and live in CA so I have to be able to get it smogged. If I were to buy a donor car what would be the best to look for to do the best swap. My engine is fine. I just did the head gasket. But looking to rebuild another block and then there is the trans that I would like to upgrade. Any ideas. Joanne

not enough information. are you looking to keep a carburated engine, turbo, efi? performance upgrades for the afore mentioned aspiration. 2.2 or 2.5?

The most common upgrade for the engine and trans on the Rampage's is to put a Shelby Charger or GLH-T Omni engine and a555 or a520 transmission in the car. I put a GLHS engine and components in my old Rampage. Worked great when it was running and before i got rid of it.
