yah, that is what I have been thinking, sadly enough the person that brought this to my attention was not a TDer But I am going to pull the restrictor out of a turbo block that is sitting at my parent's place. Since I do not have one here.

Bingo. If that oil restrictor is not there, this problem will happen. But I always thought the TBI engines had a restrictor there, too. All but one OHC engine I've torn apart has some kind of oil restrictor to the cylinder head(s). Sometimes the restrictor is built into the head gasket, sometimes it is a hollow screw. Sometimes its a restrictor like the 2.2/2.5 has. The engine without the restrictor is the Chrysler 2.7L engine. They have an oil pump sufficient in size to maintain oil pressure with the setup, but they have so much "upstairs" oil that I am a strong believer that is why they are notorious for rod bearing failures.... when owner neglect lets the oil go 2 quarts low (very common in the public) the sump in the pan runs dry because it is all in the heads. Maintain the oil level in these engines and they'll go forever.
But still, hopefully that glitter is left-overs from not cleaning the block/head, etc. And we should have an accurate mechanical oil pressure guage with actual PSI readings posted.

Oh, yah, I forgot to add about that, I change the oil another time, and the glitter was gone. I think it was just a minor initial break in, and I used a graphite based engine assembly lube, and I think that may have caused some of it.

What is this graphite assembly lube? A bit off topic, I may have another use for it--the power windows on my car. I want to try a graphite lube instead to see if it lasts longer than the other stuff I've been using.

Well, it is like white lithium grease but it has graphite, and the guy at the parts store said that it is used to help maintain a grease in the bearings while the engine is waiting to be started, but I am not very sold on it. But it can be purchased at any parts store, I got my tube from Carquest, but I went back to my white lithium grease instead, but I would think it would work good for something like window tracks and something like that, but it isn't like graphite powder that is used in locks. It is like both white lithium and graphite powder mixed.

I promise this is the last I try to "hijack" this thread, but the issue with the power windows seems to be that when the lubricant dries up (or seems to), it turns into a sticky stuff; sometimes within a couple weeks. I am hoping the graphite will prevent that from happening. Or, I was thinking of just degreasing the entire window track and just using powdered graphite next time. I wish I remembered what I used on my beater '91 Daytona--those windows work great years later.
I've always used Lubriplate for my engines with no issues. Its just some kind of white grease. I know of a couple engine builders who just use engine oil on the bearings and never have a problem. Whatever works for them I guess.

I used that stuff when I did my 91 Corvette's engine. I had the same results in my oil. That stuff works good though, even though you get that "residue" in your oil.

yah, I don't like when it looks like my oil should be used as a metal flake finish for paint, so I am not going to use that stuff again. But that "white grease" is white lithium, and it has always worked great, it is just that when I went to the parts store, they had just ran out of the white lithium, and I didn't remember where I put my extra tube of grease. But my brother has used engine oil on his 340 Duster engine, and has not had much of a problem, but I wanted to have the extra security.
But back to the subject. I have a new oil restrictor coming in the mail, got one from a Chrysler Dealer in Kearny, NE, they have about 80 of them and the part is NS1 (aka, not being made anymore for those who don't know what NS1 means) and it should be here hopefully by the end of the week.
