So I've read alot of threads in alot of places about SRT-4 and Turbo 2.4 people swapping 2.0 cams into their 2.4 for more power... I've never seen a dyno sheet or anything on it, and I was kinda wondering exactly where the "more power" is made?

What would 420A cams do in a N/A 2.4? Is there something special about them that I need to know to install them? If they'll move my torque peak down a bit, I'm all for putting them in my van... and shouldn't have any trouble finding them, since 420A's get thrown away every time I turn around.

Just wondering exactly what the mod is worth, and what it would do for N/A apps.

2.0 DOHC Neon cams got more lift than the 2.4 DOHC N/A Cams , dynoed it's good for about 6 hps @ wheel in a N/A engine with basic bolt ons... I dont know exactly how much gains are in a boosted engine.

From what I've read they shift the powerband up. Which is fine for a smaller car but you might not like them in your van.

Yeah, I'm kinda looking to make more power down low... I don't really ever get on it, I just rev it up to like 3500 or whatever... I don't have a tach either. I have to get a Tach, Vacuum gauge, trans temp gauge (31TH, A413 tranny, with lockup.)

Is there a set of OEM cams that I can get that will move the power band lower? Or just make a little more on the low-mid range?

What about 2.4/2.0 intakes? Which ones should I use to get the best flow for better VE?

Would there be any gains to be had (where I want them) by using just one of the 2.0 cams and one of the 2.4 cams? Which ones would I use?

That depends on what's your engine / year / Engine management. If your caravan is a 95-99 2.4 lts change the order in the injectors wiring / Coil Pack & need to turn 90 degrees the cam magnet , (dont remember right now if its clockwise or counterclockwise)

It's a 2000 Caravan base model, 2.4 auto.

According to the local dealer, it was one of like 5 built for this region, and they apparently know nothing about it, b/c the techs stood there for an hour trying to tell me that I have an electronic transmission and it has no bands in it.

If you use just the exhaust cam you dont have to deal with the cam magnet , Injectors and coil pack

Would the Exhaust cam alone give me any gains on the low-mid side of the RPM range?

I've always change both cams , I cant tell you what kind of gain are in just changing the exhaust cam... theorically the more lift on the exh. cam helps turbo to spooll faster if you're boosted.

How about advancing the stock Intake cam4-5 degrees? that should pick up the low end and the reduced overlap also should contribute to low end torque.

My appologise I was a bit confused... forget about all I said about the injectors wiring & coil pack... thats just when you do a complete 2.4 swap and use an 2.0 Engine management (PCM)

You're using a 2.4 with its own 2.4 PCM , so you just need to turn 90 degrees the cam magnet counterclockwise.
here're few links related.
