So, I bought myself a 91 Daytona. Nice body. Fives speed tranny and a 3.0. Now my first question is, I seen these motors referred to as the 6g72. Is it actually the 6g72? Secondly..i bought the car and I've noticed that there is a visible wobble at the main pulley. Its not an up and down wobble though. Its like the crankshaft is wobbling back and fourth through the engine. anybody have an idea what the problem would be or what is going on. Maybe could give me an idea on how long I have till it blows.

Yes it's a 6g72,and it sounds like you have some thrust bearing issues. You might fix it by replacing the main bearing(s) or the crank may be worn beyond repair at the thrust. Automatics will run like this for quite a while --5 speed places all the clutch pressure on the thrust bearing so probably not too long if no looked at.(replace bearing(s)

So I could stick any 6g72 engine in my Daytona. The engine was changed when it went into the avengers..
