What are the pros and cons of using a bigger throttle body? I found one that I didnt realize I had in all of my extra parts. I believe its the 52mm?

Larger T/B is useless if you have stock 1 piece intake manifold.

the neck on the 1 piece is too small for the bigger 52mm TB, no difference

The neck on the 2 piece and be ported around the corner to a 52mm TB

The 58mm TB is used with a custom plenum. The 58 makes for much faster throttle and turbo response and allows a larger turbo to spool. With a ported top end and plenum on a 2.5 the car spins the tires before boost. The 52 also makes the turbos hit harder too with a completely ported top end. Much of what you want is to add a larger turbo and be able to use it, the bigger TB is part of that mod list. Actually top end HP gained at boost is questionable.

What if I cut the neck off? The TB I have came with an aluminum piece that bolts up to it(I can put a pic on here later). Would it be worth cutting the neck off and welding it on straight?
