Ok, there should be a steel elbow coming from your intake, underneath/in front of the #1 and #2 injectors (if a single piece-88 and up intake) This is the line that you use for your PCV valve, which goes to a 3 way T that will plug into both your valve cover and your airbox, if this is a stock intake setup (some will route the line that goes to the intake directly to the intake piping, if they put a cone filter or other CAI-type setup on their car)

There SHOULD be a nipple that comes out the front of the intake, right near the FPR (it will be slightly above and to the right, if viewing from front)

There will also be a nipple on the back of the intake, that runs to the brake booster. I have seen a few intakes with 2 nipples on the back, and no steel elbow under the injectors, they are the exception, not the rule.

That nipple on the front is the proper nipple to be running all your vacuum-ran devices on the car. I suppose you could reverse the roles, rotate the lower steel tube 180 degrees and then use the upper for a PCV line, but who wants to see a big black rubber hose?

Most people will install the vac block directly to the intake that way, using a 1/2" pipe thread 90 degree elbow that turns into 3/8" compression thread, which can then be reduced, or if you can find them, 90 degree bends with smaller fittings, like 1/4 or even 1/8th, even thoug most all the barbs and fittings are 1/4 compression (at least the ones I have dealt with)

Thanks for the write up.
I was planning on getting the 90 degree bend from ACE. So does the PCV need vacuum? I thought its only role was to vent out the air from the crankcase. I really don't see why I can't put the vac block on the intake manifold on the main nipple with the 90 degree bend, cap the holes I don't need, and just take off the PCV T and put a filter in it's place.

It can be done, but I have seen numerous people post that the oil will blow out the valve cover if it isn't ported to vacuum. I guess it just helps keep the air pulling through the setup, and not forcing the air to build up enough pressure in the motor to blow out.

Yeah that makes sense. Only problem is, that main source of vacuum on the intake manifold is where the vacuum for the pcv was ran to.

Well do you have that steel tube coming out of the intake? Was it blocked off?

Look on the back of the intake, ad see if you have a 2 port elbow back there where your brake booster hooks into. Tie into this line

Steel tube in front or back? In front yet, in back dunno.

Tie the pcv vacuum into that line or tie the vac block into that line?

The top port is for the vac block.

The steel tube under the fuel rail/injectors is for the PCV valve rubber line
If the tube is missing, look at the nipple on the back of the intake, where your brake booster hooks into the intake. There may be a second nipple there, if so, run the PCV off that. If not, then Tee it into this line.

I Td the PCV into the brake boost line and the brake boost apparently called it quits when I did that. So I hooked the brake booster line straight the the vac block and ran the PCV into the intake hole where the brake booster was going into. I started running out of silicone hose so I had to mismatch different sizes together lol. Looks very ugly for now, but it seems to work.

I'm looking for a pic of a nice looking, functioning vacuum block setup for a Omni GLHS and the type of parts ,routing etc.
Thanks

The vacuum blocks are all universal.
Hopefully somebody will post a pic of an Omni so you can see how it is mounted.
