I want to change my crank. Is there a method for pulling the block while leaving the trans in place?

What car? Usually, its easier to pull out as an assembly as theres not much room to move the engine away from the tranny due to the tranny input shaft being so long!

Automatics are fine, you only need an inch to clear the bellhousing. I pulled the engine only out of my van numerous times last year, , hahahhaha!
