i just saw a mustang today with dual flame throwers out the back. i thought that was pretty damn cool. i got to looking around on the internet, and found that it might be possible to have a flame thrower kit on a car that doesnt have a cat. so i was curious, i have no cat a ultraflo muffler straight through, if i hooked up one of those flamer thrower kits for like 40 bucks, would it work. i know this is probably a stupid question, but i thought it wouldnt hurt to ask.

so those things basically work with just a spark plug and coil in the tail pipe, all i do is just hit the switch and it will light the exhaust fumes. im asumming that i would have to rev it a bit to get some unburnt gas through, but other then that, is that all there is too it?

FLAMES LOOK GOOD BUT I DON"T KNOW IF IT WILL LOK AS GOOD ON A TD WITH ONLY ONE TAIL PIPE AND ALL>>> NOW IF THERE WERE A SIDE EXIT THAD WOULD LOOK BAD.

LITLE OMNI WITH 3" EXIT THAT WOULD BE SHIZNIT. DOES ANYONE HAVE A PICTURE OF A TD SHOOTING FLAME? THAT WOULD BE COOL AS A DESKTOP.

Ive got both.

When running high fuel pressure, you would still need something to ignite the fumes wouldnt you?

Probably, I was joking about just cranking the FP though. I bet someone that reads this is gonna line clamp their return hose and try it though.

Sorry, I have the vids, I dont have the links. No idea where I got them. Ive had them for like 3 years.

actually, raising the FP would work fine on my 3.0. Just go WOT, and the computer ignores a/f and will dump fuel based on fuel tables............then let off. You dont even need to go higher then 2000-3000 rpm's. My downpipe isnt hooked up to my 3" exhaust right now so I dont think I want to make flames under my butt.

ok, ive been reading about them, but i cant get a straight anwser on how they exactly work, i have been reading some cut the spark and let unburnt gas run through then ignite it. thats is exaclty what i DO NOT want. i want something that will just put a spark in the tailpipe and light the fumes when i rev it, without it having anything to do with cutting spark to the engine or anything like that.

unfortunately, our engines dont send much unburnt gas down the pipes... so you gotta get it there somehow, with a spark retard or injector its all for show, how much show you wanna go for?
