I have an 85 glh turbo omni and the crossover tube to the egr leak"s i heard you can take the tube out and plug the holes and run ok is this true?please advise!

yes, just pull it and plug it. I cut mine off about 2" away from the swing valve and clamped it shut real good... no problem with it.

An old oxygen sensor fills up the threaded hole where the pipe met the swingvalve very nicely.
