Good to wait till the end... I messe dup on my header and did not accomodate for enough clearance where I put it. Good thing I have wide-band so have not really needed it yet.
BTW, Happy Birthday Warren!

Nope, just finally got back to working on the Laser, Havn't touched it all winter. I'm in the proccess of freshining the engine and installing the header. I will post pictures of the final version with hanger brackets and all before I drop it all in the car. Hoping to get all done for SDAC 16.......Warren

I would get it ceramic coated... that is alot of pipe for the exhaust to cool down in.

Warren, I hope you do make SDAC. Your Laser was one of the nicest crafted cars in the community Ive seen. Makes me want to keep the car cover on the Omni.

I have to bring this thread back...
Did you get the header into the car?
I am looking to turn my '89 Daytona into a 4-500whp show car. I was looking at getting the FM header package for $1000+, but can't seem to find any information on it anymore. I would interested in this you made more than one and had dyno numbers.

make your own! all it is, is a tbi header with a turbo flange welded on it. you could ceramic coat it and have it ported for far less money then 1000 bux

They took a throttle body injected motor's exhaust manifold and welded on a turbo flange?
Where is the performance gain coming from?
I have minimal fabrication skills, and I want a show quality car with tons of power. I'm looking to buy the best, instead of making something that 'will work'.

It's equal length, and the runners are larger, that's where the performance gains come from. It also allows clearance for bigger compressor covers and you can get up in there a little easier.
You should go to a shop and have them make you a custom piece like DomChassis is making for himself. If you have $$ you can get whatever you want.

You can also find them on ebay every now and again, for much less
than they originally sold for! I believe 2.2=8 went 10.6 after he installed
that header, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Laser went 10.81 best with great traction and ported stock manifold, and 10.68 best with header and poor traction. gained 4-5 mph.
