WTF >:O

refurbished 3.0 head, new bolt, broke off 1/4" from the head. tried an easy out, now the easy out is snapped off and stuck inside the bolt. What do you suggest I do?

This is ****ing retarded.

I'm gonna take it to a shop and have them deal with it. I pulled off the trans. This totally sucks. Way to backtrack.

I had no idea what you were discribing from the explaination. The manifolds use studs stock.........

I used all new bolts because no one carries exhaust studs and bolts for this engine...

I remember I removed the studs on one motor with vice grips
I had to use 2 at the same time or else they would just slip. That totally sucked.

Then on another head, I figured I could just put 2 nuts on, and then tighten them together, then use a open end wrench and turn the nut that is stuck and the stud comes out. bah.

Yeah ive learned the hard way as well. Easy outs are my last last last resort. A welder will always work better.

Easy outs are pure evil. When I worked in a machine shop I couldn't tell you how many times we had to extract broken bolts with easy-outs stuck in them. Drilling out broken bolts is a piece of cake, unit there's a chunk of easy out in the middle of it.
