Read the "Modes of operation (O2 gauge)" section.

I have a phantom A/F guage in my R/T it does just about the same thing... rich and heavy throttle, lean at deceleration.. and it jumps all over durring normal driving... Cindy at FWD told me this was normal..

that is normal...the o2 sensor is monitoring the A/F ratio at idle and part throttle and changing the amount of fuel constantly, thats why it swings back and forth...under deceleration it usually goes so far lean the guage seems to go blank and WOT needs to be fully rich to run safely

Just today, i was driving my puppy to the vet and it wouldn't go out of lean, it was at the highend of lean, but never ideal, i am using 94 octane gas with 2 bottles of octane boost, is my o2 sensor messed up (its brand new) or did my guage take a crap.

Don't use Octane booster. It _can_ ruin sensors.
