the other day I went under my car holding a hacksaw with a plan. I was going to cut the cat off and clamp a straight pipe in it's place. Well when I looked at it I saw that the k-frame is in the way so I cant cut it off with the downpipe still on the car. Woud it be a good idea to take the downpipe off the exhaust mani ,cut the cat off with it out of the car, and replace it? is there another easier option? im sick of my cat leaking exhaust fumes inide the car.

it would be a really bad idea to do that? where is the converter leaking? wouldn't it be much better to fix the problem.. BTW it's illegal to remove the catalytic converter. I know everyone does it.blah, blah, blah. However it's also illegal to embezzel money (Enron) or to kill people. so what's it hurt... only my environment.

well I would get a hi-flow cat but uhh, I can't afford one! so I'll do the cheaper thing and buy a $5 pipe.
