I used it on my 2.5 TBI when my tail pipe fell off after 18 years. It is louder than I had wanted but once I completed the installation with 2.25" pipe and mandrel bends. I also installed a high flow 2.25" cat.

The 'kit' includes a pipe up and over the rear but starts at the last bend before the up and over. It includes the clamps and a tail pipe. Of course it includes the muffler. All in all I like the performance and the better mileage it gave me.

well think about this, if you plan on upgrading, then a get a full madrel, only if its a turbo. if not, then do that.

On my Turbo Z I'm planning to enlarge the pipes to 2.5" from the turbo (new 2.5" swingvalve) to the 'stock' tail pipe tip. I know that the stock tip is not 2.5" so I'll need to modify it but I really like the look of that chrome rectangle/oval tip and since it's stock and since I want to keep the look original I'll cut the tip off far enough forward to allow me to weld a 2.5" pipe at the right angle enabling full flow without reduction.

I'm still not sure what muffler I'll be using. I want quiet yet throaty while keeping high flow. I realize this will require a compromise but I think I can accomplish this easily.

Its mandrel bent so at least you have that going. Its good enough but obviously, you want larger for more performance.

My overall goal for the '86 Turbo Z C/S is to make it a show car. But show cars must also go. The stock T1 is no slouch but that said it can stand to have a bit more power. I'm thinking that with the mods I'm doing to the head, the '89 roller cam, the more open exhaust, the T2 intake and turbo setup, the porting of the exhaust manifold and overall of the lower end, I should be able to make around 180hp with less than 12psi boost. And based on the things I have planned I should also be able to make about 30+ mpg on the highway.

A show car that is a trailer queen is a trailer queen that gets to show off how good it looks. A show car that is driven to and from events is a show car that gets to show off how well it performs as well as how good it looks.

I do have the 2 1/2" swingvalve.Currently everthing is still stock except the swingvalve and a M.P. headgasket.I am not looking for a excessive amount of performance, I have a '73 charger w/ a 493 stroker for that
