Has anyone had any luck putting 3" exaust in the stock location on a Rampage. Is the muffler in the way?

Dunno what you mean about the muffler being in the way. 3" on a Rampage can be done, no prob., although I do not use the under-bed spare tire.

I meant to say the pipe I have been told I may have to move the gas tank over some. I will get under it this weekend and see how close it is. Hopefully it will see a pipe bender real soon, I want to make it to Cecil County raceway on Nov 11th.

you can definitly put 3" on it. i am running full 3" from turbo back on my scamp witout any issues. not sure if you have to worry about the cat or not in delaware. i did delete the cat and put a magnaflow muffler in place of the resonator in the center of the car/truck and it fit really nice, i did bring mine out in frt. of l/r wheel, but i looked at putting it out the back when i had it on the lift and was doing the exhaust. i say yes, very doable but if you are looking for performance i would do the side exit, it is not too loud. i feel that the turbo spools quicker and i gained some boost too. if you go out the back i would still suggust putting the muffler under car to help with clearence in the back.

Yes, Delaware vehicles that came with cat must have one to pass inspection. In fact the muffler shop I went to, refused to continue working on my exhaust because I brought them a gutted cat. They said it would be a $20,000 dollar fine if they were caught installing it. So....It was a good thing they stopped there work. I looked at one of the 3" inch pipes they made and it was almost crushed were they made the bends. I am going to hold out for FWD Performance. They are coming out with a 3" mandrel system just for the Rampage

cool, then you may want to wait for the system you can bolt on yourself. i work in a shop and i have a pipe bender at my disposal. does the system they are going to sell come out the back or are you against the side exit? we here in VA are supposed to have cats too, and they are right it is a big fine to delete someones cat on their exhaust, lucky i am a state inspector and thay gets me by without one. good luck!

Hey Scotty,
It's supposed to be a factory style system out the back. I'm not sure about the side exit, I may have to try it one day. I made a flange deal for the muffler so I can unbolt the muffler from the pipe in order to change the loud muffler to a quiet one, to go thru inspection, I guess I could add another flange for a quick change side exit exaust for some fun.
