dont want to steal the thread but i have a 87 shelby charger t1 what kind of turbo do i have and if i have the mitsu turbo i heard a 3 in exhaust can cause boost creep and how do you solve that?

I'd go with the 3in down pipe to the 3in exhaust. Changing the swing valve would be nice but chances are that the turbo has never been off the car and you will probably break at least one if not all the bolts holding the swing valve onto the turbo. Then your going to have to get the bolts extracted from the turbo which is a PITA. If your just looking for a little more power and fuel mileage go with the 3in down pipe to the 3inch exhaust to a good free flowing muffler. If you end up upgrading the turbo in the future get the 3in swing valve then. Also for a little more pep look into a calibration from one of the above vendors. A slightly modofied cal with a boost goal of 14psi or so will wake the car up. For a little more a 3bar map cal with a 3 bar map and +40 injectors and 17-18 psi will really make it go.

You have the Garrett, so it won't do it like the Mitsu. Search boost creep and you'll find all your answers,
