I've had my 2.5 catback pipes from FWD Perf for awhile and finally bought my muffler, I wanted something that had great flow but not loud...so I got the Magnaflow Part#12616 straight through design and I love it! it's quiet at idle and very smooth around town with no backfire's and a sweet "burble"...but LOUD when in boost, almost sounds like a V8 when you get on it. On the highway there is NO drone I think this was the better choice over the 4" muffler. System was installed with no cat as well and I got it for $55 shipped.

The muffler spec's are:

Part #: 12616
Inlet: 2.5"
Outlet: 2.5"
Overall Length: 20"
Body Length: 14"
Body Type: 6" Round

Here is a couple pics of the muffler and the factory vs. new system side by side while I preped and welded the hangers on the new pipe's, I will have some videos later this week.

I'm thinking of using the 30" version of the same muffler. Do you think it'll fit under my Shadow?

take a piece of poster board, cut it 30 inches long, roll it into a cylinder and use it to see.

I am not sure how the Shadow compares to a spirit but I actually had to cut about 3 inches off the end of the pipe and remove my hitch so it would clear the axle, But the posterboard idea would work well.

i have very close to the same muffler except 3" on my scamp with a side exit and i would not change it for anything! i love it! my muffler is where the resonator was without a cat and as eveyone has said the best sounds at boost and very little sound at idle. great choice. you will love it.
