Application is 2.2 Turbo.
Are quiet and high flow mutually exclusive terms?
I have a DynoMax on my 2.5 TBI and when it comes time to put a high flow exhaust on my Turbo Z I want it to be much quieter than the DynoMax is on the 2.5. I've been told that the turbo itself helps quiet things down but to what degree. I don't want it to sound like the engine isn't running but at the same time I don't want it to sound loud either.
My goals for this car are not killer as in lots and lots of power etc. My hope is that I can install a muffler of 2.5" in/out that will flow well but will be fairly quiet.
Is this an oximoron or is it possible? I'm willing to compromize somewhat to achieve my modest goals but since it's a T-top and I will be taking it to local shows with the T-tops out I want it to be fairly quiet.
Any suggestions as to which muffler would help reach these goals?
