Even though PA has emissions in some counties (not mine), the cat still has to be there even in non-emissions counties.
And normally I would NEVER run a cat regardless of the law in PA  , but I have 2 things to consider in this particular case:
1. Reinstalling the stock cat made the car SO much quieter, as with no cat, the Dynomax Super Turbo muffler has this BLAAAAAAAAAA drone / resonance to it that I found very annoying.
2. If all goes to plan, I want to move to California in the spring, and until I learn the laws out there it might be better to have a cat on the car for the emission crybabies in charge out there that I've read so much bad stuff about.
I'd just punch out the stock cat and let it go at that, but I like being able to hear the engine instead of the exhaust.
