I am in the process of finishing off the motor rebuild/replacement for my '87 Z and I am having some difficulty mating up the exhaust...the donut that I have came out of the mitsu snail that was on there when I bought the car (I know...its not original) I put one of these

Garrett

and the donut from the mitsu kinda fits...but my exhaust bolts won't go all the way through anymore...I looked on TU and they didn't have any 2.25" donuts...help!

just to add some thing that might help in case you run into it. I put an 88 turbo z into a 87 cs and the exhaust would line up on mine. I had to cut the down pipe and use the flang off of the 88 to make it work. I didnt know that they change exhaust flanges with diffrent turbos. just a thought.

How different are they? My exhaust was home brewed...so the tip of the D.P. was made to fit...I guess I will just have to order a 2.25" donut and find out if that is my problem...

the flang for the down pipe was a 1/4" out on both sides. O'rilleys cares two part # for the down pipes from 85 1/2-87 88-92. Its screwed me up for about a week but for i tracked part # down.
