Do you guys think this weld is going to crack?! I didn't know how else to do it and keep the probe in the right place.

I thought it was wierd how long the probe was. (wow, I've been laying down some zingers here lately...I have not been abducted by aliens...I swear) I had to space it way out and the way I had it drilled and tapped didn't get the right angle or lenth, it was almost touching the inside wall. So, I took a die grinder and cut some shallow groves in the iron to help the weld stick and piled on the weld to build up a good solid bit there. This was the first thing I have ever welded. I have had a few local people tell me it looks ok, but I don't think many of them really got what kind of extreme heat and such it would be under.

Why not come up from underneath? Thats what I did on mine. That looks like an autometer probe, I ran one straight up from underneath before and it didn't hit. The port is taller than it is wide, especially since you have a ported manifold.

^ +1 when i had the stock manifold on mine i just tapped the bottom of the mani and put the probe in.(for future reference)

your weld looks fine. if it does not hold drill it a little bigger tap it and put a plug in it and tap from the bottom. it will not ruin the manifold if the weld did fail.
