Hi all..

Anyone know what the factory exaust sizes were for a 1989 Dodge Caravan with the turbo 2.5L ? I need to know for upcoming future install of the engine into an l body ... 2.25 or 2.5, Thanks everyone and anyone, LOL

im pretty sure it's a 2.5" downpipe then after the cat it goes to 2". Someone correct me if im wrong

Hmm, So using my current l body system would be a no no and I would loose power right?. Currently have a 2.2 tbi with no cat and factory muffler.. Car is going to using an 89 2.5 t1 from a mini ......... Thanks for the help. More info?

It will function, but it won't be happy. Look into upgrading to a full 2.5" or 3" as soon as you can. You'll love the 3"!

I wish i could be more help but im still learning myself. But from what i have read the best way to go with the 2.5L with mitsu turbo is keep the stock 2.5 D/P and replace the rest with 2.5 to match. Im sure someone a bit more knolagable in the subject will jump in lol thats all i got.

Ok great stuff guys....... I'll probably use the 2.5 all the way. Car will be staying pretty much stock for a year or so.... What stock muffler/ off what kinda car would work...? Did any L bodys come with 2.5 exaust?

Nope as i said after the cat it wen't to 2" or somewhere around there. Just get a full 2.5" system. Welcome to FWD Performance, Inc. check there just to give you an idea of what your looking for.

LMAO..... Yeah, I have alot to learn about turbos myself, Always ran carbed or tbi Chryco myself.....The Need for more power is here now......LOL ever since I went to see Dean Stillie at Grand Bend do a 10.9 in his Rampage.....Whoaaaa, I realize that it will take a while to learn but hey for now a little more power will be nice going from a hopped up 89 cb tbi setup in the "MO". to the 89 2.5 t1

Measuring stock on my cavan, it goes 2.5" downpipe, 2.25" from cat to muffler, and 2" cat-back

I like to post unanswered questions for archiving purposes. Im always looking for answers, and a lot of time you find a lot of questions without them. Figure, the next guy coming along will have better luck finding what he is after
