Ok for starters i plan on doing a complete 2.5" catback system this summer. But for now i need a muffler to pass safety so I picked up a 2.5" magnaflow muffler and a couple adapters to put it on my stock exhaust pipe. I was just wondering how these thing's sound. And if there is going to be much of a performance differnce just doing the muffler. Im hoping for a deeper rumbly sound (those are technical terms by the way lol) hopfully kind of similer to the SRT 4's. Does anyone run one of these?

I have one with a 2 1/2" side exit. It is rumbly and LOUD on acceleration and pops on decel. Otherwise pretty quiet.

Thats all I have had on my TDs is Magnaflow, and thats all I will ever have. Loud and mean when it needs to be, quiet when you want it.

post a video of what it sounds like. My r/t has a 3" flowmaster and it's a little louder than I want it to be. I'm really trying to keep the grandma look...
for the unsuspecting victims!!

I have used magnaflow on both the firebaron, and now on my daytona. I love them. Quiet at idle, and open up like a beast when you get on it. Done is also reduced when doing substained speeds. I am actually in the market for a 3" muffler now, as i am upgrading from the 2.5' and one know of any deals?? I gotta sell my old system first, but if it is a deal....

I can't find a part number for a MagnaFlow muffler for the Daytona for either 2.5" or 3".

What is the part number you used?

So I got the beast running today. All I did was kept the complete stock exhaust and welded on the 2.5" magnaflow with some giant @ss welds lol. I must say it sounds pretty damn good it has a really nice deep tone to it. Im taking it for it's first test drive tommorow before i throw it on a tow dolley to go get it safetied. Ill take a vid and post it so you can hear it . Wish me luck on the safety lol i just dumped 2 grand into it and the only performance upgrade is the muffler. Im going to snap if it doesnt pass.

These cars arent very hard to pass safety as long as wipers, ball joints, and floors are pretty sound.!!

My 90 ES was rotten inside and out and still passed Safety.
