If I attach a pressure gauge to my 89 Shadow Exhaust Pipe before the converter, what should it read if I have a "GOOD" flowing exhaust system?????
This car is a 2.5 TI 5-sp. (fresh rings and bearings and a re-built head)
It has a 2-1/2 " tail pipe into a Flow Master Muffler.
The power is great through 1st and 2nd but mid way through 3rd ..... and on it doesn't seem to pull as good.
I'm thinking exhaust ..........
Is this the First Up Grade on a Stock 89 TI????
Thanks.......

Exhaust Back Pressure should Never Exceed 2 PSI. At Chrysler Training Instuctor stated he thought that was too high.

I like FWDPerformance.com exhaust systems, don't hurt the wallet to bad and mandrel bent 3 inch

The stock exhausts are a real bottle neck for my 87 daytona, probly the same for yours.

I got a gauge on the Shadow.....it was putting out 6 lbs. of pressure at 5500 RPM in 4th gear.

I guess thats Bad...........install a new Cat. and 3" pipe into a Flowmaster????
