Would there be any difference/compatibility issues between a 86 T1 turbo manifold and a later 2.5L turbo manifold?

Thanks,
Pete

I have a 93 2.5 exhaust manifold on an 89 2.2 common block and the only thing I have noticed is the tube going from the exhaust manifold to the bottom of the intake manifold has to be reconfigured, as the 2.2 CB intake manifold is about an inch narrower than the 2.5 intake manifold when measuring from the mating surface to the outer edge of the manifold.

early (2.2 log) and late (2.2 or 2.5 blow-thru) *turbo* exh manis are identical except the aforementioned notch was added to clear the 1- or 2-piece intake manis

hence, you can use a late exh mani on a log - no problem
but, to use an early exh mani on a blow-thru you have to grind the clearance notch

10-15 min with a good 4" angle grinder...

(I think sasky is talking NA exh manis)

Sorry I forgot to mention that I am using all normally aspirated parts. Hopefully the "892 Shakota" can be turbofied at some point... Also, I mistyped the year as it was a 92 exhaust, instead of a 93.
