I have a 86 Daytona 520 with a 84' G head and a 88 Turbo Roller.
I called Cindy told her I have a daily driver and all the TII parts to up-grade to a 87' TII .
This is what she sold me;
Magnecor Wires
ECU 86/87 Stage 3 GLHS Cal
Misc part 50 (FWD 92-0769) qty. 2 ( i believe it's wirring for the TB)
Charge Air Pigtail
Charge Air Sensor
804 Injectors
Autolite 63
MSD Blaster 2

She never said anything about exhaust, and I'm confused about the 3" swingvalve.
I guess it's only 2-1\2" i.d.....?
Explain this, and what do I really need for my Exhaust System with these up-grades.
I bought the 3" Catco converter,and a 3" manderal "U" Bend, for running a 3" Side Exhaust, but I want the whole Package(3" SV- ' guess it's a actual 3" measurment', 3" DP.

3 inch swingvalve is only offer by Turbos Unleashed |:..:| Shelby Dodge & Chrysler turbos, intercoolers, headers, parts and accessories.

Stock, your turbo would have a 2 1/4 inch swingvalve.

Probably she didn't mention it because you don't need to change the exhaust to convert to TII. For those upgrades you don't NEED to change anything on the exhaust. Unless you are planning on removing the head, you won't be changing SVs. Also, you need at least a 2 1/2" SV to run a 3" DP. Good luck with the project.

You should really read the description of the product before you post.

Universal swingvalve for use on all t3 (non Chrysler) style turbos.
The part you posted will not work with ANY stock turbine housing off Chrysler/Dodge cars. Like I said, TU is the only place that have 3 inch swingvalve work with our car. Yes, there couple other 3 inch swingvalves out there, but not for our stock turbine housing.

guess i didn't understand the swingvalve and how it fits into the exhaust system.

so with the mods............. will a 3" system still be worth doing?

FWIW, the 3 in swingvalve is worth a bucket of torque on a stock t2 garrett. If you have the extra $$ it is a nice piece to get. Should hold resale value too down the road if your plans change and you go for a crazy turbo.

Well, seeing as he didnt specify what turbo he was running, he very well could have used that swing valve. So I guess your smugness was a bit uncalled for.

Hello! I have a '84 Lebaron Convertible that was TBI, converted to a Mexican Phantom(Lebaron) '90 TII, with Mitsu Turbo, does it have a 2.5" SV or 2 1/4"? I am very interested to get a 3" downpipe, and all the way to the back 3", or some nice behind the door. Does the 3" downpipe fit? even if the SV is 2.5"? I am a little confused thanks!

BTW I have searched everywhere for the Weight of my car, again, an '84 Lebaron Convertible, because everyone is telling me that because it is convertible it will be less heavy than any other so it will be FAST!

you'll get alot of dispute over what your vertible baron weighs.
best way is just to scale it.

yes your mitsu has a 2.5" SV and you can easily throw the 3" on with an adaptor and weld it up and be good to go, although I've heard of bad Boost creep issues with the 3" SV.

ATP makes a Dodge turbine 3" band clamp SV. The problem with turbo exhaust is that anything thin and welded isn't for the street, all headers melt and give on the street. Then at that point if your racing I would get the FWD tri Y header with the ATP SV. I beat my car on the street, so TU 3" SV and cast header.

The TU 3" donut is NOT for use on the 2.5" SV. They are not cut at the right angle and get destroyed and twisted in the 2.5" SV. I have an origanal Rick D donut for the 2.5" SV, fits perfect and is completely different angle than the TU donut. Most don't notice at first, the TU donut crushes down into the 2.5" SV and doesn't leak at first. So people are making them work but one of the vendors needs to make us a 3" donut for 2.5" SVs like Rick did.
