I agree with you "Shelbydaytona91" but that tip was part of the deal and he wouldnt sell it seperately, when i found the price i was surprised of the deal i got. I'll put them on tomorrow and get some picture, if it doesnt look good, then i'll remove it. I dont want to touch my rear bumper, the ground fx looks good on them. Not sure what to do yet have to just wait and see till tomorrow. Oh and is welding pipes is better than clamping? Any performance difference on it, i like to weld the pipe because i know it is permanent. So what do you think.

An old friend of mine gave me his old dodge neon fropnt bumper with the fog light ports, and while i got my sundance taken apart and being refurbished, I got the idea that i might be able to put the neon bumper on the ront just for something different... Well I liked the idea of dual tip outlet mufflers like the srt-4's run, curiousity got the best of me so i took off my rear bumper, and checked it out to see if i could put the neon bumper on my car, and low and behold it fits (with very minor modifications), and i can run the outlets out the fog light openings and it will be a little different since im putting an ES bumper on it, and making some ES side skirts from a 2dr work (thats a fun project)... if i had a camera to take some pics with ide show you guys, it really looks natural...

p.s. I'm part of the in crowd with the dual exhaust, as long as it ALL funcions in some way, be it less power or not....

No mufflers on an Srt-4...and is mine rice because I have dual 4.5" tips on my car

But I'm ditching the dual exhaust, in favor of a single exit w/ a "fart can", cause my car is to damn loud.

And to who ever said a y-pipe causes turbulance, i've had no issues w/ lack of power...I took the rear section of my exhaust off and there was no noticable difference from the butt dyno.

Just a warning...interior resonance is greatly increased w/ duals

I understand both sides of it, maybe its a little "rice". But its not like there two big chrome muffles hanging out back, and I do get exhaust coming out both. I also think it probably makes it sound better at idle, I have a real "muscle" sounds at idle.

In the early 90's I had duals with y-pipe on my Lebaron GTS. 2" pipes with 2.25" crome tips. This was way before the "rice" crowd discovered "fake" duals. It gave me a really good sound and nothing but complements from the looks perspective. When I had a fully built engine in there, I had 3" pipe go into a round muffler where cat used to be and then split into 3" dual pipes exiting in front of rear tires. IMHO it also looked good but did not sound as good as the original setup. In any case who cares if somebody thinks it's "rice". As long as it looks good and makes the owner happy, why not. As for performance loss from y-pipe, I doubt it's anything noticeable. If anything I got better spool with 2 resonators on the pipes instead of a single muffler.

I got a 2.5" exhaust back to a 2" reducer with a cherry bomb on the back, once i get some more time, im gonna take the 3 opening muffler that i got and run the dual outlet with some nice 3" resonator tips... Mabye with some kind of chrysler emblems in the center...

I really wanna try that, like have it go back as 3" then split into 2 2" pipes and maybe do like 'broom tubes' I think they are called? you have to be careful on the pass side tho as you have fuel lines

well my car is a p-body and there is plenty of room under the back bumper so i can run it out the back and hide the muffler well enough so the guy behind me cant see it unless he finds the front of his car under the rear of mine, in wich case my little metal road rage bar would fix that problem lol, were you talking about running them out in front of the rear tires??? i think thats street illegal for any thing other than $80,000 sports cars that rich people can afford tickets for

It's perfectly legal as long as the outlets are behind the rear door.

Why would you want to chock the exhaust down to 2" from 2.5"? Unless you got a free cherry bomb in 2" size but that's still hurting performance. You have to try to maintain minimum 2.5" exhaust diameter on turbo cars for best performance.

Its not turbo yet, im waiting till i get a better head, and a decent little turbo for just a few psi. (low end torque) I like to drive S curves, and cruise logging roads, so shifting at lower RPM's would help keep the power down low...

And the I found the cherry bomb in the grass when i mowed my uncles back yard

Welding is better not really for performance but for for preventing exhaust leaks. If you do the clamps right, they're fine. It's always safer to weld though.

As for the side dual exits, I think something like the '70 AAR 'Cuda would be bad-ass
AAR ‘Cuda 5 picture down.

The dude who built the twin garret 2.2 probably could have set things up for true duals
