a y-pipe causes turbulence, and turbulence causes a loss in flow. be sure the bling is worth a hit in performance before you go through with it.

Another solution that I will be doing is using a single in/dual out muffler mounted sideways like a neon. You have to cut out the spare tire well to fit one in there but my spare tire well is rusted out! There really isn't much room for a big muffler on these cars, I like my exhaust to be completely hidden under the car except for the tailpipe.

Please don't do dual exhaust. Leave those for the 86 hp Celica's with wings

Why go throught the hassle of extra piping? Just put an extra tip where you want it since you only care about the looks?

I have a ricey 4 inch chrome tip on a 3 inch full exhaust. Only thing I saw I cared for at the time that wasn't $100.

I am a pure performance type. If something adds 5 pounds and it doesn't help speed, then I dump it. It looks decent, I just don't see the point in going dual exhaust on a 4 cylinder.

Oh nice, thats exactly the car i was talkin about, looks cool. Actually i never seen any ricey cars with dual exhaust all of this civics and celicas have single and american is popular for dual, but yeah thats right it wont add any hp, i alrdy got my tip which is Borla ProXS muffler ad their most expensive tip which called Dual Square Angle-Cut Intercooled and it is so nice, havnt installed it yet. I hate those ricey people with junky car which cost $100 with burning oil and they spend $1000 for stereo and put a huge muffler tip on them, everytime i see something like this, i want to I hope the car doesnt sound like Japanese car with the fwd 2.5" catback and those mufflers.

It's rice because it ISN'T true duals (can't be... it's a 4cyl!) so it isn't functional therefor... rice. Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements!

lol I can't believe you guys. Those are some sweet looking tips! They aren't 6" cans shooting out the back. and I bet you wouldn't even notice a difference between straight through and those tips performance wise. If this guy wants to put some cool dual tips on HIS car, then don't bag on him for it. It's not like it's some huge wing or tacky sticker.
