Well, this is my first post, i'm new to the forums, so hi everyone.

I have a 2004 SRT-4 with a Borla Exhuast with electronic cutouts. I recently took my friend out in my car with the Boost Controller on. (I had just got the settings down last week) Well, I didn't go far, just down his block in second gear just show him how hard it pulls. I should note that i stayed in 2nd, once it got to red-line, i let off, and slowed down.

Well since then, the car hasn't sounded right, it sounds "ricey". And if i stay still for a while, the car smells of exhause fumes. Also when i drive i can't hear a difference in sound when i open or close the cutouts.

Does anyone know what's wrong, or have any advice??

Thanks alot

I forgot, I've check and the cutout opens and closes normally. Also, i don't think it's anything with the engine becuase no warning lights came on, and it ran fine my entire drive home (down a highway)

Maybe blew out a gasket @ down pipe or aleak one of the slip fitting. that's the smell as far as the sound, I cant think of anything unless the resonator changed some how

yeah, check for leaks...if the exhaust isn't new something might have broken off inside a muffler or something too

also check and see that the cutouts aren't coming undone or something. I've heard that it is possible for the butterfly valves in them to come loose from the shaft. A fix for this is to weld them on.
