Car stalling, could catalytic converter cause this?

And instead of buying a new cat just weld in a piece of pipe instead. Less backpressure and cheap. Just make sure its allowed where you live, if not hollow the cat.

I have the magnaflow too and love it, they are cheaper on ebay but I wanted a warranty(salt in winter kills an exhaust) so I got it here. magnaflow 17905, or you can try one of the vendors
