I Seen This Plastic Intake In The Junkyard, And After Looking At It I Wondered How Dood Of A Header Design It Would Be. Not Sure That It Came Off Of, But Here Are Some Pics. It Could Be Shortened And Maybe Have The Pipe Coming Up Go Close To The Stock Location And Angle.

Well your just talking about the design not using plastic, right?

To me its no better then a log mani because the runners are pointing at each other instead of having a nice collector and runners pointing at the flange

lokks like a ford intake but as for using it as a design for a header well in all honesty it couldn't hurt obvosly it would work, how well or if it would improve any thing i have no idea and the shape of it tells my your probably gonna have to "massage" the fire wall a bit depending on the vehical and turbo size and down pipe size. meh all in all its possibly worth a shot would definatly be interesting just be aware how close to the fire wall yur getting should make sure you have at least an inch between the turbo or header and the fire wall so they dont collide and damage and damage anything

yea i don't think plastic would last to long lol, so if it had a 4 tube collector leading to a turbo flange how good would that be.

good

put it this way a good header design and large turbo = less backpressure in the mani= less reversion= you can use bigger cams and actually see benefits(as large cams with a log header and smaller turbo = high backpressure and reversion hurting performance).

I agree, about as good as a log style. The purpose of that tube in the intake is to slow everything down to the same speed before it enters into the cylinders. You want the exhaust gases to remain separate for as long as possible. MPG mike had a log style that was like that, but different. My opinion is that you would be better off to have straight runners instead of the fat tube.

That kind of curling down will work to clear the intake manifold, but too low and you'll start running into clearance issues with the oil return, axle, turbo mount (if you use one) and a myriad of other items that are normally below the turbo.

Well All you have to do is go get it flow tested and find out if you like it or not then do all the expensive work after.
