I am the proud new owner of an 89 Dodge Shadow ES. Less than 50,000 original miles and the previous owner was an older gent who didn't drive it quite so much anymore.

There is however some ugly looking rust in the rear section of the exhaust. At first I thought "Hooray, 3 inch mandrel exhaust time!" However, I have the 2.5 turbo 1 with teh lil' bishi. I don't mind creepin, but I would mind overboost shutdown.

So the question is, What size exhaust is everyone running with the little bishi and no MAP diode? How much does it creep?

I full exhasut shouldn't make it creep beyond 14psi, on a 2.5 system I needed a boost controller to get 14psi

I would be okay with a 2.5 inch and a straight through muffler? Or would someone reccommend throwing on something chambered (Super Turbo, Flowmaster, etc.)?

I am really looking just to replace it with something before it falls off (although that might not be a bad thing come to think of it). If I can get a little more POWAH while I am at it I will.

2.5 and no cat with a straight through muffler was fine on my Daytona with a mitsu. Stay away from chamberred mufflers on turbo cars though. They don't like them.
