I was lookin to see what muffler I would want to get for my rampage and I thought that the Cherry Bomb Glasspacks sounded pretty good on almost all of the vids I watched of the cars. They don't seem to have that ricey sound, which is good.

So I am asking, anyone have any luck using cherry bombs on your cars?

PERFECT MATCH. I had one on my 2.2l T2 Rampage before I parted it out, and the Cherry bomb went with the car. But it sounded nice and gurthy, I like how it sounded really low and like it had something to say. Get one and put it on. I am looking at putting that and a good tip onto my newest Daytona instead of the Ricer muffler that is on it.

I had a Cherry Bomb on my 2.5L Acclaim, and currently have one on my '81 Toyota P/U. Only problem I had with them was they'd burn the fiberglass out in a short amount of time. I've had better luck with Magnaflow turbo mufflers, which i now have on my F-150, and it sounds day-1 new after 40,000 miles.

Thanks for the input guys, my rampage isn't fast but I don't want it to sound like a ricer for sure. I had a group of friends yesterday (all three own classic musclecars, 2darts, and coronet) and they told me that if I put a fart can on it they would make me park in the field, far far away. But they don't have to worry about it because I won't :P

-Thanks, Zach A-

Probably would work good on a n/a car , turbo you want to stay away from them as they have baffles in them and are only about 2 inch id no matter what inlet and outlet size they are.
They sound really good in my opinion too!

I prefer Dynomax super turbo mufflers over cherry bombs. Monza resonator tips have a nice and interesting tone, little raspy though

I had a cherry bomb glass pack on a turbo z i had.. 2.25" in/out i think? if you want that cracklin effect gett'em reall hot and hose'em down with cold water. it'll "crack" the glasspack and have a raspy tone to it. they sound ok but I agree with clayton, dynomax.
if not you could get a 2 chamber flowmaster.. but they're a little loud though.. i have one on my spirit r/t in 3"..good luck..

If you're N/A the glasspack will do just fine ... and the price can't be beat.

Thanks one more time everyone, I have at least a few options now that won't make my car/truck sound bad, which is good. BTW, shelby your charger sounds great.

id go with a flowmaster 40 series 2 chamber over a glasspack any day. i had one on my tercel way back when- 12 valve 1.5 liter and that thing had as deep of a tone as you could ever want. definately did not sound ricey at all. plus they will easily outflow any glasspack and last forever- lifetime warranty

I would prefer a Cherry bomb over a Summit Brand Muffler on ANYTHING six cylinders or less. I have tried Summit mufflers to only find it is ricetastic and doesn't last long with our winters (aka salt season) .
With trying the summit mufflers, I have swapped tips, positioned the muffler farther back and up closer, used a resonator and a baffle....... It all made it worse.
So I through it on the ole V8 and called it a day. That is all I would ever use them on. Sucker wasnt cheap either!!!!

Go to ZZperformance.com and check out their SS resonators. Their resonators come in two styles 4" bullet and 6"round and are used to quiet those loud droney GM V6's. The internal pipes are perforated instead of those power robbing louvers. The 6" comes 28"overall lenght with a 24" body and are available in 2.5" and 3" piping! It's kinda expensive but you get want you pay for....
