I finally got curious enough to try and figure out whats going on...
Now I wish I hadn't.
It's just irritating to me to see how this is playing out. It's niche market economics... The market is small but you're either going to stock and sell these products or you're not.
I've decided I personally don't care if I ever have a 3" SV.

If fwd had one i would get one from them but they don't....

So anyway - Funny story:
One day I decided to order some headers for my Big Block Mopar. I went to a website that caters to Big Block Mopars and ordered up my brand new headers. Then about two weeks later I get an email from the site telling me that they don't actually sell the headers I paid for and that I should go find 39 other people that want Big Block Mopar headers and maybe they'd sell them again. I said "Hey, no problem. Why don't you just hang onto the $$$ I paid until we can get everyone on board".
And we all lived Happily Ever After.....

I would weld the crap out of the outside and then grind the out of the spot where it necks down by the donut. If it was mine, I would weld so thick that I could grind right through the sv into the weld on the outside. You could probably clean the rest of the casting up too while you are in there.

Yeah, figures it would be deleted, lol. Apparently the governing console has too much of a problem with even talking about the idea of being able to talk about the other site. So much so that they deleted it without even giving a response... probably didn't have a good reason why.

Damn personal vendettas... they put the I in community.

lol no kidding! when i started that thread i prolly should have worded it a bit differently, was not aware of the firestorm i was about to stir up, lol

you have 3 options
wait for unmentionable vendor to have the 3in swingvalves in stock and buy one

buy a used one

weld the holy snot out of the 2.5" swingvalve and break out the die grinder and get nuts. keep in mind that welding to cast iron without heating up the cast iron part before you weld it may not stick. cast iron needs to be heated up in an oven before it can be properly welded to. might wana have a welding shop do this for you.

or you can get in touch with a foundry and start having your own swingvalves made and start selling them
