3" downpipe fit to '88 shelby z swingvalve???

Title says it all, i am wondering if i can get a 3" downpipe to fit with my swingvalve on my 1988 shelby z. I had read somewhere today that the stock swingvalve for those cars was a 2.5 sv. If thats the case shouldnt i be able to connect a 3" dp

Get a 3" DP/SV combo from TU. Without the bigger SV, doesn't it seem kinda pointless?

88 Daytona Shelby Z have a 2.25 inch large flange swingvalve. 3 inch downpipe can be bolt onto it.

ya i was going to say tu doesnt carry that part anymore or else i would have gone with that option, since the exhaust will fit on my swingvalve, does any port work need to be done?

If there is a 3 inch swingvalve available id love to get my hands on one.

And if not there is still MUCH to be gained by bolting a 3 inch exhaust onto a stock swingvalve, just not as much as if you had a ported manifold and bigger swingvalve

also if i was to stay with my stock exhaust system once i get the new engine in. . . . . how hard would it be do install a full 3" exhaust from the turbo back??? If you say it can be done with the stock swingvalve can i do that while the head and turbo is still on the car? Im looking right now to get my car running right, then im interested in getting the power i want. So can i run stock exhaust now, and upgrade to a 3" later down the road with my swingvalve
