I got an 85 gts and there is an exhaust leak right on the bend infront of the left rear tire. i know i will replace the cat back. i saw the there is a dymomax catback that is the factory walker exhaust with a "turbo" muffler.

Q1- Since it is an 80's car the cat prob restricts the airflow; since ill be replacing other parts would it be good to just straight pipe the cat? (Ohio has no emissions)

Q2- As i stated up top; how does the dynomax mufflers sound? Are they good for a DD sound?

personally I would not get the dynomax system the turbo mufflers are good for turbo applications. I would just get the 2.5 or 3 inch systems from one of the vendors with a walker (dynomax) ultraflo muffler.

1. If you have no emissions then straight pipe it. Your turbo will be quite a bit more responsive.

2. I have a DynoMax race bullet on my GTC. I'm running a cat with a full 3" mandrel system on a TII. It is nice and throaty when taking off but it's not loud and it doesn't drone when cruising. Here's how mine sounds on a cold start.

I am looking for gray interior trim for a J-body (1987-1989) LeBaron coupe hardtop. If you have anything please PM me before throwing it out. I am also selling tan trim if you're interested.

are you looking for performance or quietness?

If you are looking for performance just run a straight pipe out to the back.

If you are looking to go quiet I would run a cat/muffler
