2.5 88 and up downpipe on a 3.0?

Hello Guys, i recently purchased a 2.5 inch catback system, cat and muffler, but i can not install it because i am running the 3.0 v6 and the cat and downpipe are one piece. sooo, i was wondering if i can bolt up a downpipe off a daytona (which would be 2.5 inches right?) to my exhaust manifold then run my system back?

All help and suggestions is apprectiated.

*89* and up turbo's would be 2.5" DP (and SV :) )

The bends might be slightly different but it's probably not too far off. If you look at 89-90? Dynastys with the 3.0, they have a 2.5" downpipe with the cat farther back so you could use that downpipe if you find one.
