right now i have the stock system but i cut my muffler off and hollowd out the cat its straight stock pipe which i believe is 2 1/4" and its pops out the side infront of the left rear tire.. i was curious would it be worth it to upgrade to a 3" straight pipe out the same side on a stock motor with turbo plans?

the 3 inch exhaust would help the turbo spool faster because there is less restriction on the trubo. i have 3inch exhaust from turbo back and it comes out infront of the left rear tire and ive noticed that the trubo spools faster and there is a lil bit of a gain in power.

The less restriction the better. No back pressure necessary
I also plan for a 3 inch side exit straight through exhaust.
You will see gains in power, faster spooling + a bad ass sounding exhaust.

3 inch straight for turbo no doubt about it, but never go to that on a 3.0 N/A It would be loud and pointless. Get the turbo first unless your exhaust is falling off
