T2 conversion exhaust question

When converting a T1 turbo to T2 specs, you have to grind a notch on the exhaust side of the turbo to clear the #3 intake runner.

Do you also have to grind a similar notch in the exhaust mainfold itself or just on the turbo?

Grind both.

both, but if your car is an 87 or later the notch is already there in the manifold.

Definately both!! I ran into this last week I had the newer manifold but older turbo and didn't realize it needed to be grinded down a little till I went to bolt it on haha. A few minutes later on a bench grinder and it was all good.
