im going to be needing to put in a cat converter in the next few months due to emissions , but i also want to get a glasspacked muffler to tone down the noise. i mean, i love the noise, but it draws WAY too much attention from the cops, and too much attention when i set my turbo timer in a mall parking lot. i know that the cat's use a locking-type flange and not just a regular flange. (from what ive seen anyways). so would it cost too much for what its worth for a muffler shop to weld in a cat? also, what are some good 3" glasspacked mufflers?

Dynomax bullet muffler, Summitracing.com. Catco high flow cat (3 way) Lopers in Phoenix. Buy 2 sets of flanges and 2 gaskets. Take it to Midas, have them weld flanges on the cat, and flanges on a piece of pipe. That way you can just slap in the straight "test" pipe when you want it, and have the cat when you need it. Saves the hassle of cutting and welding all the time.
