Go to www.ruffstuff.com or do a search for Farina Carbide. You can find a ton of different carbides there. I'm not sure if Farina has a site of their own. I usually get bits from my buddy when he orders them, usually $1000.00 worth at a shot. By the way, I've ground my share of iron. )

I was looking at my manifold and it doesn't really seem like there is much material to remove from it. On most of the surfaces it's not much thicker then 3/8 inch. How thin can you make it before bad things happen?

The trick thing to do is take a TBI manifold and weld a turbo flange to it. It is a bit like a header. It also kicks the turbo off to one side, so mounting and lines are a little more complicated. From what I understand that it is a night and day difference.

I am new to the 2.2 engines. However, i can tell just by the design there are considerable power improvements to be had by a header type deisgn over the manifold. I haven't done any testing but i think you would find that very much port work to the exhaust without changing to a header would be for nothing.

How much could be gained by porting a non T2 manifold is it worth it or a waist of time? I have an 84Z thats having the turbo rebult soon I figure that will be my chance to port it.
