very little to no gain with a ported intake from what ive seen, especially the 1-piece
probably a little more with ported exhaust side

smoothing the inside of both out a little with a Dremel or tool of your choice will probably be about the same as a full port

just my opinion and what i've heard

dont port the intake. the bumps and ridges help to mix the fuel. port the exhaust all u want tho.

^ what he said.

Porting the intake manifold without a high flowing head is kinda useless.
And the fuel and air doesnt mix as good and you actually lose a little hp.

The exhaust however will benifit the car no matter what you do to it.... Polish it. port it. Cut off the muffler.
Our cars rely on our turbo spooling and flowing exhaust gases so the faster it can spool and get rid of the exhaust gases the better

There is no fuel in the intake...the injectors are mounted at the end of the intake runners. The intake is dry other than the last inch or so of the intake.

On my old Daytona, I ported the exhaust manifold, ported a 2pc intake (matched the upper to lower half, smoothed out the runners, mouth and as much of the plenum as possible and cleaned up a swirl port head with stock sized valves. With the stock cal, stock turbo, stock intercooler and 2.5" non mandrel bent exhaust with cat, the car went 97.6 mph in the quarter with 14 psi of boost (no cut out raiser at all!!!) in a full weight, unlightened '88 Shelby Z.

Before any of the ported stuff went on, the car would go about 94 mph at the same boost level. There were definitely gains in using the stuff I ported. The exhaust side probably made a huge difference compared to the intake, but I think every little bit helps.

he didnt say to what extent he was going to port. if he was just going to gasket-match port, then he should leave the intake runners alone.
